ALAMEDA -- Maurice Hurst might be the Raiders defensive MVP. The rookie defensive lineman leads the team with four sacks, and has been the tenacious run player he was at the University of Michigan.
He has been consistent for a still-developing rookie, playing all across the line. He has played every game thus far, but Sunday’s contest against Kansas City is officially in jeopardy.
Hurst has missed both practices this week with an ankle injury that limited his snaps against the Baltimore Ravens.
His playing status ultimately remains uncertain, but missing practices can’t help.
The Raiders conducted a full-speed practice on Wednesday, but went off site and indoors for the fourth time in three weeks.
