Disney CEO Robert Iger plans to become chairmen of the Raiders-Chargers joint stadium plan in Carson, per a CBS Sports report.
As non-executive chairman of Carson Holdings, LLC, Iger will be in charge of naming rights, the fan experience and other major pieces of the venture.
Pending league approval for Los Angeles relocation, Iger as project chairman could propel the two team’s move on the nation’s second market as soon as 2016.
Iger will remain CEO of Disney, but his contract with Disney expires after 2018. His salary for spearheading the project is a mere $1 per year.
