Once again, the Raiders started the game poorly. On the second play of the game, Derek Carr threw an interception on what appeared to be a miscommunication between he and Michael Crabtree. The Chargers took over at the 30-yard-line, but a missed Nick Novak field goal attempt had the Raiders’ escaping the turnover without surrendering any points.
They then took their second chance and marched down the field, culminating in a 23-yard pass to Michael Crabtree on a slant which he dives over pylon for the touchdown.
Both teams bumbled around for a while, with some nice defensive plays sprinkled in.
