ALAMEDA – The Raiders’ participation report didn’t change from Wednesday’s practice to Thursday’s session.
The environment surely did.
Thick smoke the Camp Fire, located in Butte County near Chico, reached the Bay Area on Thursday and clouded the Raiders’ afternoon practice.
Airnow.gov, run by the Environmental Protection Agency’s air quality division, reported unhealthy air quality in Alameda due to smoke and particles in the air.
The EPA recommends healthy adults reduce strenuous activities and shorten the amount of time outdoors. That wasn’t possible for the Raiders, who had to work through poor air quality while preparing for Sunday’s home game against the L.
