ALAMEDA -- Raiders cornerback T.J. Carrie enters his second professional season with high expectations. Well, according to Raiders law, he won’t enter his second season until early October.

Code created by veterans Justin Tuck and Charles Woodson states that rookies don’t lose the tag until after their fourth game of the following season.

Carrie, however, will still be doing some heavy defensive lifting right away. He’s penciled in as a starting cornerback, at very least a key member of a surprisingly young position group. There could also be return responsibilities on his docket.
