Upon his drafting, Elijah Hood was quite emotional about the prospect of sharing a team with his idol, Marshawn Lynch. He has now been added to the active roster due to Marshawn’s one-game suspension.
Hood was the one of four 7th round draft picks by the Raiders this year. He was the only one to be among the final roster cuts and was placed on the practice squad after clearing waivers. That’s where he’s remained through the first 7 games this season.
The 5-foot-11, 230-pounder played three years at North Carolina from 2014-16, appearing in 34 games with 25 starts and totaling 2,580 rushing yards on 431 carries with 29 touchdowns.
