ALAMEDA _ Rodney Hudson was cautiously optimistic Friday that he would be back as the starting center when the Raiders visit the Detroit Lions.
Hudson went out with a right ankle sprain in the second half of a 38-35 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Nov. 8 and did not play in last week’s 30-14 loss to Minnesota.
The Raiders play the Lions Sunday at Ford Field at 10 a.m. (PDT).
Hudson was officially listed as questionable and made the trip to Detroit. Coach Jack Del Rio declined to characterize the chances Hudson would play.
“I’m getting better,” Hudson said.
