Raiders C Rodney Hudson not present as practice begins

Official designations will come following practice Friday, but appears the Raiders are planning on going without starting center Rodney Hudson against the Minnesota Vikings.

Hudson was not present when the Raiders started their session, with Tony Bergstrom expected to draw the start. Hudson left the Pittsburgh game with a right ankle sprain and has been in a protective boot much of the week.

Going without Hudson would be problematic against a Minnesota defense led by nose tackle Linval Joseph, a 329-pound nose tackle with eight tackles for losses and the reigning NFC defensive player of the week.
