Jon Gruden loves him some competition, and Monday showed the Raiders’ head coach thinks more is needed on the defensive line.
Oakland signed 31-year-old defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin, according to his agency, and 34-year-old defensive end Frostee Rucker, according to ESPN. And so continues the trend of Gruden adding players over 30 this offseason as he works to blend the Raiders’ youth with more experienced names.
Rubin has been in the league since 2008, and has played for the Browns, Seahawks, Broncos and Falcons. He split 2017 between Denver and Atlanta after spending seven seasons in Cleveland and two in Seattle.
