Raiders beef up defensive line, sign second-round pick P.J. Hall

ALAMEDA – The Oakland Raiders have signed second-round draft pick DT P.J. Hall, the club announced Sunday.

Hall was selected 57th overall by the Raiders in the 2018 NFL Draft. He played in 56 games with 54 starts over his four-year career at Sam Houston State, totaling 284 tackles (160 solo), 42 sacks, nine forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception and a school-record 14 blocked kicks. The 6-foot-1, 308-pound defensive tackle was a four-time All-American in addition to being named first-team All-Southland Conference in each of his four seasons. His 86.5 tackles for loss broke the FCS career record of 80 that was set by current Raiders teammate LB/DE James Cowser at Southern Utah.
