ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Former Oakland Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck is raising awareness to the challenges faced by United States military veterans by issuing a challenge of his own.
Per Tuck, an average of 22 veterans commit suicide every day, so to shine a light on it, he challenged the Raiders, who are gathered in Alameda for offseason workouts, to perform 22 pushups.
The Raiders obliged.
Tuck has also challenged his other former NFL team, the New York Giants, as well as his college squad, Notre Dame.
Above is video of the Raiders performing the challenge as shared on Tuck's Instagram account.
