Raiders announce 13 assistant coach hires

The Raiders announced the hiring of 13 assistant coaches Thursday, filling out the staff under Jon Gruden.

Tom Cable, the Raiders’ head coach from 2008-10, returns as offensive line coach. Jim O’Neil, the 49ers’ defensive coordinator in 2016 under Chip Kelly, joins the Raiders as senior defensive assistant.

The list does not include a quarterbacks coach. New offensive coordinator Greg Olson said in a conference call Wednesday the Raiders were still considering whether to hire one.
