Raiders agree to terms with FB Keith Smith

After a slow start to free agency, the Raiders are making moves as they have reportedly agreed to a two-year contract worth $4.2 million with former Cowboys fullback Keith Smith according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Smith provides depth alongside current Raiders starting fullback Jamize Olawale. His Pro Football Focus grade of 40.3 ranked 13th among fullbacks across the league. Smith is a California native who fits the traditional fullback mold that Jon Gruden has worked with in the past. This would allow the Silver and Black to create mismatches with Olawale and better utilize his abilities to catch the ball and create in space.
