ALAMEDA — Ndamukong Suh canceled his visit with the Raiders Wednesday, but linebacker Emmanuel Lamur showed up and became the sixth defensive unrestricted free agent added to roster this offseason.
Not the splashy signing Raiders fans were hoping for perhaps, but a potential useful player as a linebacker who has some starting experience and could be a core special teams player.
Lamur played the last two seasons for the Minnesota Vikings as a backup linebacker and special teams player, playing in all 32 games.
A five-year veteran, Lamur played his first three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals under defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, who now holds that position on Jon Gruden’s staff for the Raiders.
