ALAMEDA — The Raiders added a pair of free agent defenders Friday in cornerback Senquez Golson and defensive end Armonty Bryant.
Golson, 24, is a former second-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2015 NFL draft. He spent his first two years on the injured reserve list with shoulder and foot injuries, and last year spent time on the practice squad of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
If he can remain healthy, Golson (5-foot-9, 176 pounds) has the skill set to guard smaller receivers in the slot. He had excellent ball skills at Mississippi, where his 16 career interceptions in 49 games (33 starts) were third in school history.
