The Oakland Raiders announced Saturday that they’ve officially activated rookie S Obi Melifonwu from injured reserve and waived CB Demetrius McCray with an injury designation.
Should McCray pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Saturday.
The Raiders placed Melifonwu on injured reserve coming out of the preseason while he was working his way back from knee surgery and designed him to return a few weeks ago.
Oakland still has one more designation to return to use this season.
Melifonwu, 23, was selected by the Raiders with the No.
