PITTSBURGH — An Oakland Raiders linebacker is under investigation by the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office for allegedly taunting a police dog at Heinz Field.
The alleged incident happened Sunday in a tunnel at the stadium, where a sheriff's deputy was working with the K-9 at the Steelers-Raiders game. The deputy has identified the player as Ray-Ray Armstrong.
The player allegedly lifted his shirt, pounded on his chest and began barking at the dog as he was heading toward the field for the game, according to officials with the sheriff's department.
Chief Deputy Kevin Kraus was meeting Tuesday with a representative of the District Attorney's Office regarding the possibility of charges being filed.
