Purdy: Raiders road to Las Vegas hits toxic spill but isn’t blocked, assuming the Goldman Sachs dollars are there

The Raiders’ road to Las Vegas was never going to be as smooth as advertised on those neon Strip billboards. Monday, that road developed a pothole. The pothole was anticipated and is surmountable. The bigger concern was a smelly toxic spill that splashed on the road when Sheldon Adelson and his family exited a deal that was supposed to create a $1.9 billion NFL stadium not far from those neon billboards.

Does the departure of Adelson and his money mean that Raiders’ fans in the Bay Area should rejoice because the team might now be forced to cut a deal in Oakland and stay there indefinitely?
