Pete Carroll’s influence: Helping the young defensive backs

Pete Carroll is a teacher.

When he spoke at his introductory press conference when he was named the new head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, Pete Carroll spoke often of the importance of teaching.

With more than 50 years in the coaching field, there is no doubt Carroll has a passion for teaching the game and it is what he excites him about being back on the sideline.

So, while Carroll will spend time with players on the entire roster, one particular area where Carroll should have particular influence on the defensive backs.
