Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones didn’t make himself popular amongst those in the Black Hole on Sunday, violently assaulting fourth overall pick Amari Cooper while the rookie wide receiver was on the ground. Pacman deciding to smash Cooper’s head on the rookie’s helmet while Jones was on top of the receiver, taking advantage of a defenseless player in what was a play that blurred the line between hard nosed and dirty football.
Expectedly some Raiders fans were hoping for a one-game suspension for Jones, but that didn’t happen as the NFL opted to fine the veteran cornerback $35,000 for his actions on Sunday.
