In warm-ups before Sunday’s Broncos-Raiders game at the Coliseum, Sebastian Janikowski booted a 60-yard field goal.
“With probably5 yards to spare, at least,” Oakland long-snapper Jon Condo said.
Janikowski has talked recently about playing a lot longer — years and years longer — his age (37) be damned. Seemed reasonable. Going into Sunday’s game, Janikowski was 7-for-7 on field-goal attempts.
So Janikowski has got career longevity and kicking greatness down pat.
Perfection, though, is a tougher deal.
On a day when he set the Raiders’ record for regular-season games played (241) and kicked his career 49th field goal of 50 yards or more, he was also one of the goats in Oakland’s 16-10 loss.
