The Oakland Raiders are a storied franchise, and its fanbase in Oakland has personally witnessed the highs and lows the organization has gone through. With a playoff hunt realistically out of the picture, a win in the Raiders' final game in Oakland could serve as a chance to help end an era of Raiders football on a positive note.
Instead, fans were treated to yet (another) heartbreak.
Despite another sharp opening drive that resulted in a touchdown, the Raiders remained stagnant from there on out through the remaining three quarters. Despite leading 16-3 heading into halftime, Oakland allowed Jacksonville to embark on a 17-3 run, the latter touchdown proving to be the game-winner, capping off an excellent drive by Gardner Minshew with just 31 seconds remaining on the clock.
