Since the now infamous dog barking incident at Heinz Field, Oakland Raiders linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong found himself in head coach Jack Del Rio’s doghouse. Taking less and less snaps, finding himself on the sidelines for all of the team’s defensive snaps on Sunday in the loss to the Detroit Lions.
The Raiders took it one step further on Tuesday, opting to cut Armstrong, who began the season as the Raiders starting outside linebacker after the team cut Sio Moore. A move that angered many fans and perhaps began the inevitable doom of Armstrong’s career in Oakland as he never matched the expectations of being Moore’s replacement.
