Word around the NFL is that former Raider quarterback Jason Campbell is set to retire after ten years, after not finding a home in NFL free agency this offseason. The 33 year old quarterback, a standout at Auburn, played nine seasons in the NFL for five different teams after being drafted by Washington in the first round (25th overall) of the 2006 draft.
After four difficult years with a Washington team that was constantly in transition between offensive coordinators and coaches and personnel, Campbell landed in Oakland with the Raiders, during Tom Cable’s tenure as head coach, pairing with new offensive coordinator Hue Jackson.
