The Oakland Raiders have pressing needs at both the cornerback and safety position heading into the 2016 NFL draft, but adding a running back to their roster somewhere in the draft will be an instrumental step to improving their rushing attack this season.
Even with lead back Latavius Murray’s 1,066 yards, Oakland finished as the 28th ranked rushing offense in 2016, via NFL.com.
With the investments the Raiders have made in their offensive line in Kelechi Osemele and Donald Penn, it’s obvious that Oakland GM Reggie McKenzie wants to establish a powerful, violent rushing identity in 2016.
