2015 Oakland Raiders second-round draft pick Mario Edwards Jr.’s injury status has put a cloud over the offseason as one of the team’s most promising young defensive players has a potentially serious neck injury that could impact his career. An injury that the Raiders have been largely quiet with as nobody seems to be interested in putting a timetable on the injury of the team’s young pass rusher.
General manager Reggie McKenzie updated Edwards’ status in an interview with local media on Tuesday, but wasn’t able to give much of an answer other than doctors are still putting the defensive end under tests before making a concrete assessment regarding the neck injury.
