In 2015 Free Agency the Oakland Raiders were forced to replace their middle linebacker after Nick Roach retired due to concussion issues, signing Curtis Lofton in a move that was seen as a risky stopgap acquisition based on Lofton’s low PFF grade in his final season with the New Orleans Saints. Lofton ranking amongst the worst in the league at middle linebacker despite having a high number of tackles in 2014.

So far in 2015 those concerns have been proven as legitimate as despite being a consistent tackler, Lofton has continued to struggle at pretty much everything else for the Raiders through the first month of his season.
