Entering the offseason, one of the more underrated storylines over the course of the next several months will be the injury status and recovery of 2015 second round draft pick Mario Edwards Jr. from a neck injury that is thought to be extremely serious.
Edwards Jr. suffered the injury in Week 15 after a nasty hit from Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy, and ever since the defensive end has been on the injury list with a significant neck injury, but nothing more on his long-term status has been revealed. Even with the speculation that the injury could be career-threatening at the worst or a long term rehab process.
