Oakland Raiders sign Reggie Nelson to two year deal

After leaving a meeting with the Oakland Raiders without a deal on Tuesday night, prized free agent safety Reggie Nelson got what he wanted from general manager Reggie McKenzie on Wednesday. Signing a two-year deal with the Raiders that will finally give the team the safety they were looking for since Charles Woodson announced his retirement.

Adding a second day of negotiations helped the Raiders and Nelson come up with a deal that will suit both sides as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport broke the news of the signing late on Wednesday afternoon. Continuing to add to the star-studded offseason in Oakland as the second most cap space in free agency has netted the Raiders the best roster turnaround in recent memory.
