It was a busy Tuesday in Alameda, as the the Raiders announced several roster transactions — most notably the signings of Riley and Cowser.
Riley replaced Ben Heeney on 53-man roster, who was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury. Cowser was (once again) signed to the practice squad.
Just to catch up, the Raiders attempted to place Cowser on the injured reserve with a concussion. But instead, an injury settlement was reached, and Cowser was ultimately released. But unable to find work elsewhere, the two parties have reunited.
Oakland also released LBs Demetrius Cherry and Darnell Sankey from the practice squad.
