Oakland Raiders shut Austin Howard down for year

With three games left in the season, the Oakland Raiders will be without one of their veteran offensive linemen after shutting down Austin Howard for the season going into their Week 15 matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon at the Coliseum in Oakland.

Howard was already confirmed as out of Sunday’s game with an injury, fourth round pick Jon Feliciano tabbed to make his first ever NFL start in his place, but at the time nobody knew if Howard would be back for Week 16 against the Chargers or the Week 17 finale in Kansas City against the Chiefs or not.
