Now that the initial 53-man rosters have been set for every team, many moves will continue to be made throughout the days leading up to the seasons first game. On Saturday, Oakland had the ever so tough duty of releasing 37 men from their jobs.
During those initial cuts, the Raiders decided to part ways with two linebackers who many thought would make the roster, Jelani Jenkins and Shilique Calhoun. Jenkins, who the team just signed to a one-year deal back in March, did not impress the coaches enough to warrant a roster spot.
