When the Oakland Raiders signed veteran safety Nate Allen to a front loaded contract with very little in guaranteed money, many speculated if the former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back would even see the second year of his contract with the team. Speculation that grew even further when Allen spent the majority of his first season with the Raiders on the injury report, playing just a handful of games this past season.
Now we know that Allen won’t be seeing Year 2 of his deal with the Raiders as the team announced on Tuesday that they will be releasing the safety in a move that will shed even more cap space for the cap loaded Silver and Black.
