According to a post on his Instagram account today, the Oakland Raiders have released fourth-year linebacker Miles Burris, who started the entire regular season at middle linebacker for the Raiders last year and was widely considered one of the worst starting linebackers in the NFL.
Burris was a fourth round pick in the 2012 draft after a solid career at San Diego State, and was Reggie McKenzie’s second draft pick as the GM of the Oakland Raiders. The move leaves offensive guard Tony Bergstrom as the sole remaining 2012 Draft selection on the Raider roster; the Raiders were without a first and second round pick that year, with Bergstrom being their first pick in the draft, in the 3rd round.
