It’s back in Silver and Black for head coach Jon Gruden. Though it has been 17 years since Gruden last coached the Oakland Raiders, things are starting to get a bit more familiar for the popular returning head coach in the Bay Area. It’s Tuesday and this is the Black Hole Roll Call.
Gruden is featured in S.L. Price’s latest piece in Sports Illustrated, coming out on Feb. 26. It touches on his return to the NFL, and the Raiders in particular. While a lot has changed in the NFL since Gruden last coached nine years ago with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, let’s hope Gruden brings the same fiery passion to the sidelines in 2018 he once proudly displayed in the 1990s and 2000s.
