When looking back on the season that wasn’t for the 2017 Oakland Raiders, it’s safe to say that poor execution in the 2017 offseason was what largely caused the team to struggle so mightily on the gridiron this past year. It’s Wednesday and this is the Black Hole Roll Call.
Whether it was moving off Bill Musgrave in favor of Todd Downing or drafting a pair of injury-prone defensive backs, the Raiders absolutely whiffed during their offseason. It proved to be one of the worst, if not the worst of all 32 NFL franchises.
