Early in the Oakland Raiders season opener the injury bug has already reared its ugly head, depleting a secondary that needs all hands on deck to have a successful season. One of the team’s few free agent acquisitions going down with a knee injury just a few drives into the 2015 season.
Safety Nate Allen, who was brought in via free agency from the Philadelphia Eagles, left the game limping early in the first half. The veteran getting replaced by Larry Asante at safety after Allen exited.
The Raiders confirmed that Allen will be out for the game and his status should be updated during the week.
