Top storyline: The Raiders have not been in the playoffs since the 2002 season, the second-longest current streak in the NFL. They have not had a winning record since that season, either, giving them the longest current streak of futility. But the optimistic mood permeating Silver and Blackdom this offseason is unlike any since that Black Sunday of Super Bowl XXXVII in January 2003, when Oakland was thumped by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 48-21.
