This week has brought sad news to the Oakland Raiders organization as former running back Marv Hubbard passed away at the age of 68, losing a battle of cancer that ended on Monday with the death of a man who was once one of the team’s iconic running backs in the early 1970s.
Hubbard made three Pro Bowl teams, playing 90 games for the Raiders from 1969-1975 as a staple on some of the early Raiders teams. Playing in an era where physical, tough running was rewarded, Hubbard ran for 4554 yards as one of the best power runners in team history.
