Just days after cutting Nate Allen to save cap space, the Oakland Raiders have come to terms to keep the veteran safety on the roster. Presumably convincing the safety to take a discounted price to remain with the Raiders going forward after axing his four-year, $23 million deal after just one season.
Allen was cut earlier in the week before being brought back on Thursday afternoon as the Raiders announced that the former Philadelphia Eagles safety will be staying in Oakland after most thought his time in the Bay Area was over. Instead, the Raiders voided his contract and convinced Allen to remain with the team on a lesser deal to keep one of their only reliable options at the safety position.
