The Oakland Raiders put on their worst performance of the year so far in Sunday’s 26-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. And as usual, the defense continues to look old and slow especially in the open field.
Leading up to the game, defensive coordinator Paul Guenther stressed the need to prevent big plays, but apparently, the players did not get the memo. The Oakland defense allowed plays of 48, 44 and 34 yards all of which helped lead to scores or were scores themselves.
The Chargers averaged seven yards per play and ran screen plays all game which Oakland had zero answers for.
