The Oakland Raiders kicked off their preseason in style this past weekend, beating the reigning NFC champion Los Angeles Rams. There were plenty of players who stepped up in that game, including J.J. Nelson, a speedy wide receiver who will get to face his old team in preseason game No. 2 on Thursday night.
Nelson and his Raiders teammates will travel to the desert to take on the Arizona Cardinals, as they get their first chance to see 2019 first overall pick Kyler Murray. Murray, who spurned a career in professional baseball for the NFL, looked good in his NFL debut this past week, completing nearly all of his passes, but the Cards did not show much of their new Air Raid offense.
