The Oakland Raiders had to cut their 90-man roster down to 53 on Saturday afternoon, and boy was there a lot of fireworks. Many of the undrafted rookies who made a statement, including wide receiver Keelan Doss, were cut, with the hopes that the Raiders could land them back on the practice squad.
While Alec Ingold beat out Keith Smith for the starting fullback job, it was really the veterans who won out over the rookies this offseason. After a 3-1 preseason, it was clear that the Raiders were an improved team, but now the games count, and this is the unit that will head into battle next Monday night.
