On Sunday, the Oakland Raiders were trounced by the Kansas City Chiefs inside Arrowhead Stadium by the score of 35-3, and little did they know, their new general manager would be in the building. Mike Mayock was on hand to see his new team get beat down by their division rival in Week 17, and will now be tasked with turning around a franchise with one winning season since 2002.
Mayock, who has no experience as a general manager, comes to the Raiders from television, where he has worked for the NFL Network since 2004. Possessing an incredible eye for talent, Mayock will have a bunch of draft capital, and a ton of cap space to work with now, as well as a head coach going into the second year of a 10yr/$100 million guaranteed contract.
