For the past five season, Marquette King has been the starting punter for the Oakland Raiders. Establishing himself as one of the best in the game, King was shockingly released by the team this offseason, as it seems Jon Gruden and company were not willing to either deal with his antics, or the amount of money he was being paid.
To make up for the loss of King, the Raiders went out and drafted a punter in the fifth round, selecting Johnny Townsend from the University of Florida. The punting job will be his to lose this summer, though he has shown the leg to be a big-time punter in the NFL.
