This offseason, the Raiders signed Tahir Whitehead to a 3-year deal worth roughly $6 million per season. Half of the 18 million is guaranteed, but unless Whitehead is atrocious, there is no reason why he won’t be with the team all three years. At 28-years-old, Whitehead is still in the prime of his career. The experience he will bring to the Raider’s linebackers unit will be invaluable for 2018 and beyond.
Throughout his six season in Detroit, Whitehead showed the ability to play all three linebacker positions at a high level. New defensive coordinator Paul Guenther will undoubtedly love the flexibility Whitehead brings.
