In 2015, Reggie McKenzie and the Oakland Raiders made Rodney Hudson, who was 25 at the time, the highest paid center in the NFL. Hudson was signed to a 5 year $44.5 million contract after four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, and has since become a cornerstone of this roster.
It did not take Hudson long to make his presence felt in the Silver and Black, after the first few games into the 2015 season, it was evident as to why McKenzie signed this guy. Rodney Hudson was dominating defensive linemen, and really helped Derek Carr out by giving him the confidence that his A-Gaps were locked down, and no defender will make it through.
