With Oakland needing its own improbable “Holy Roller” play to avoid losing the Raiders to Las Vegas, Mayor Libby Schaaf has spoken again with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell about the city’s plans to keep the team here.
Goodell confirmed to MMQB’s Peter King that Schaaf reached out to him on Wednesday night and the two talked. Although Goodell didn’t provide details, his meeting with Schaaf didn’t produce any significant progress, according to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report.
Goodell, though, said it’s important for the NFL to continue to listen to Oakland’s representatives even as NFL owners prepare to vote Monday on whether to approve the Raiders’ request to move.
