When coach Jack Del Rio outlined his biggest concerns following the 2016 season, the lack of an interior pass rush ranked high among them.
“I didn’t feel like we got enough inside push,” Del Rio said the day after the team’s wild-card playoff loss to the Houston Texans. “That’s going to be an area for sure that we’re going to have to be better and do better.”
It’s easy to say a healthy, full season from Mario Edwards Jr. will help (in theory, it would), but he’s dealt with two serious injuries over the past 17 months.
