Expecting the worst for safety Nate Allen after a knee injury on Sunday, the MRI results on Monday evening gave the Oakland Raiders some good news out of a bad situation as their worst fears were not realized. Allen avoiding the dreaded ACL tear after undergoing the MRI, keeping the free agent acquisition off of the IR and keeping the window open for a 2015 return down the road.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported early on Monday that the team was expecting Allen to have an ACL tear, but news came in during the evening that indicated that good news came out of the tests.
